King Arthur Legends
The Storyteller Speaks...

I would like to share with you my view of the King Arthur legends. These stories have been retold in many different ways since their Celtic British origins in 500 AD. Here I'll introduce you to the characters, adventures, triumphs and tragedies which inspire me, told as an unfolding tale in the traditional voice of the storyteller.

The storyteller is Heather Dale, a modern Celtic singer-songwriter inspired by ancient legends and life. Trial of LancelotAfter independently releasing four different albums on cassette, she moved on to her first large-scale Modern Celtic CD: The Trial of Lancelot.

The Trial of Lancelot is a collection of nine original Modern Celtic songs, all based on the King Arthur legends from ancient Britain. Some songs are a musical storytelling of these legends, while others explore the emotions of Sir Lancelot, Queen Guinevere and King Arthur from a first-person perspective. The album features Heather's haunting vocals and piano, but also combines such diverse instruments as cello, tin whistle, digeridoo and electric guitar into a rich and full recording.
